Well originally for wheels I was planning MTX29s, and recently thought of going cheaper to Octane One solar 32s, but now as I think, the MTX29s on crc are the best bag for buck.
nah 5.1ds were a good rim, just soft material. ex500s are lighter versions. and i know people run them for hardcore dh so i have no worries on their ability to alst for me.
sometimes. thornleigh isnt sketchy at all, and wahroonga is mostly old people complaining about too much traffic because of the mtb park so its pretty safe
yep its at the end of westbrook avenue in wahroonga. when you get there youll see a small access road going to a carpark, go to the end of that, down the hill and your there
yeah. stop at hornsby, catch the epping line to thornleigh, then take the main road down to the park. go to normanhurst on the way back though, its mostly downhill.
so for 1 day? ok head up to thornleigh skatepark and then go to golden jubilee for the arvo. both arent far from the train station. most good street spots i know of are only ridable at night because theyre packed, and that park is beautful
the CCDB is awesome. it's a MASSIVE improvement over a stock DHX (as well as an RC4 to be honest), but takes alot of time and effort to properly set up. Elka would be cheaper and still decent(better customer service as well), but they don't have the adjustability or completely independent high/low circuits. as godly as the CCDB performs, I've had terrible luck with CC's customer service. if I was to do it again, I'd go Elka.
